Now celebrating its fifth anniversary, AsiaWorld-Expo is a world-renowned exhibition and conference venue that has welcomed millions of visitors from around the globe, and generates over US$1 billion for Hong Kong’s economy per year. Since the venue’s launch in 2006, visitor numbers coming for the recurrent trade fairs in the peak seasons of spring and autumn have increased dramatically, rising almost 40% in the last three years alone with over 300,000 regional and global buyers now attending these events each year. In 2009, AsiaWorld-Expo recorded another record year, with over 2 million visitors. |

A highlight of the annual calendar is the landmark China Sourcing Fairs, which features over 14,000 exhibitors and attracts more than 144,000 trade visitors each year. The Spring 2010 event opened on 12 April with excellent attendance figures.
The key to this success is AsiaWorld-Expo’s superb accessibility and state-of-the-art facilities, which make it unique both in Hong Kong and around the region. Looking ahead, AsiaWorld-Expo is also set to become the default hub of the Pearl River Delta region, which itself is forecast to become one of the world’s most important economic zones in the coming decades. |
