AsiaWorld-Expo, as the name suggests, is set to provide a global platform for exhibition and event activities in the fast-growing Asia-Pacific region. With its close proximity to the Pearl River Delta economic dynamo and having such superb land, sea and air connections, AsiaWorld-Expo exemplifies the adage of being in the right place at the right time.
AsiaWorld-Expo provides more than 70,000 square metres of rentable space, including 10 ground-level, column-free exhibition halls with a purpose-built, 13,500-seat AsiaWorld-Arena equipped with the highest acoustic qualities, modular seating systems and star-quality backstage facilities.
In the space of just over two years, AsiaWorld-Expo has become one of the leading exhibition and events venues in Asia, as proven by the extraordinary variety of exhibitions, conventions, concerts and entertainment events that we have hosted. One of them was ITU TELECOM WORLD 2006 with China as the host country and Hong Kong as the host city. Following the success of the event, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao pledged the full support of the Central People's Government to Hong Kong and announced a state policy to support Hong Kong to be the international hub of exhibitions and conventions of the Country.
